Matrix,Theta Healing and Coaching: A Comparision

January 31, 2013 in Matrix, Personal Growth, Personal Transformation, Theta Healing, Uncategorized

vortex4After attending a seminar in Matrix Energetics - the science and art of transformation, I have this urge to elaborate on the difference between Theta Healing and professional coaching. Its now many years ago since I was trained as a Co-Active Coach and I think its fascinating today to experience how this original training have taken me further on my personal development. A few year ago my life changed dramatically when I discovered the power of Theta Healing. Both coaching and Theta Healing are highly valid methods for working with individuals that are engaged in self-doubts, disbeliefs; its very common that we as human beings have various form of fears that prevents us from living the life we truly want.

Coaching serves as a way to guide individuals to create an awareness of themselves, where clients via powerful questions learns what is preventing them from achieving what they want, they learn how to overcome obstacles, to set goals, create new routines etc. Coaching is a great methodology that serves for taking individuals from a re-active mode into a pro-active state of being. The way to reach the pro-active state and success is to develop the act of courage. When you have the couarge to take responsibility for yourself, who you are and the values you have, and when you know what your life goal and mission is, then you are in your personal leadership. I think it’s here where you get more interested into what it means to truly be a human being in the self-discovery.

Since a few year ago I’ve been using Theta Healing as a complementary methodology. I can choose to use it in situations when clients demonstrates various forms of fears. It usually comes in what we call the 3 Rs: resentments, regrets and rejections. All these fears and resistance is draining our energy. It prevents us from fully being in the flow of who we are and what we can become. While coaching works on the mind, I can see how Theta is working at your subconciousness and energy level. The transformation with Theta is fast and efficient. Fears that may take weeks to overcome in coaching can be released in minutes with Theta Healing. It’s all about accessing your subconcious mind. However, irrespective of the efficiency of this methodology, I’ve learned that not all clients are ready for the quick transformation that Theta Healing can offer. Also as human beings its natural to have judgments and prejudices. In order to be able to receive the energy downloads you need to be willing to accept and say yes. Since you have a free will, your consent is needed.

It’s also natural that some people are not ready for the rapid change that takes place. Many times it goes deep and that is for natural reasons vulnerable. Change as I’ve wrote in a previous blog post, can create more or less discomfort. While some might fear change others seems to deeply desire the  profound breakthrough they experiences as a result of Theta Healing. When I hear stories how the usage of Theta Healing have impacted clients in their life, I’m always amazed of the change it can create. And it is so much faster compared to coaching.

If we go to describe what Matrix is we can see it as a model to play with when individuals are ready to transform into a new state of being. In the philosophy of Matrix you are representing conciousness. What you see in your reality is patterns of information that appear in form of physical conditions. At some point, what you see in your life is what you have chosen. When you begin to create and  embrace a consciousness model that allows you to transcend the limitations of your physical reality, you can tap into the physics of miracles. Matrix can in that way help you transform in a whole new way as a human being. What you see of your outside is an reflection of your inside. I’m still learning how to integrate Matrix with Theta Healing and how to use it with coaching. For that reason I’ve been playing with specific downloads for clients in personalised videos. If you are interested to play with me, you can send me a e-mail with a few sentences on what you like to have changed. Matrix is based on the research from neuroscience and quantum physics. In this video one of the most fascinating test in quantum mechanics is described. Enjoy!

Organizational Change: Technical Skills

July 9, 2012 in Change, Leadership, organizational learning, Personal Growth

Technical SkillsIn the previous blog post I talked about conceptual skills.  Here I’m going to talk about the technical skills required for change.   Consider this as a specialized knowledge, analytical ability and the capacity to use tools and techniques. Coaching can also be seen as a specific technical skills set.

When creating change it can, according to Beer and Nohria (2000) take two forms, the hard or the soft way.  The hard way, referred to as the E-theory is usually based on economical values.  This kind of change is aimed towards reaching economic goals, reorganizations, staff cuts or reduction of the company’s scope.  It can be seen as a “top-down”  approach, where management determines and establishes the strategy and the processes for the upcoming change.  Here a more military leadership style is needed and the rewards are often of a monetary nature.  The change,  in and of itself,  is usually quickly conducted as the approach lacks the focus on commitment from the employees.

The O-Theory

The soft way of change is presented in the O-theory.  The approach here is to develop a corporate culture and employee skills by allowing both the individuals and the company, learn and be a part of the change.  This is done through feedback and reflection on the situation and which a strategy is jointly developed.  This approach has a clear bottom-up approach, where all employees are encouraged to provide feedback and comments on the upcoming change.  The intention is to get the employees so emotionally involved that they want to help the company to move forward in the change process.  This is helpful for building the soft values in the organization in terms of culture, values, behavior and attitudes.  This is a great approach for improving corporate spirit and the morale within the company.

Technical Skills and Tools

Understanding these two approaches can be one way of seeing how change can happen in the organization.  But there is also a need for tools that can assist the change process.  Coaching is one tool.  But what is the theory that can be found behind this understanding?  Next blog post will explain that further.

Organizational Change: What is Needed to Create Thriving Organizations

June 18, 2012 in All, Change, Leadership, organizational learning, Personal Growth, Personal Transformation, Success, System thinking

I became interested in coaching when I realized that contemporary organizations face a challenge today.  The challenge is how to find a new way to solve old problems – the process of creating organizational change.  It is interesting for me to discover how thriving organizations are created.

Observing Organizational Change

I began following a few Swedish organizations that were working with local government. They wanted to start new ways of thinking, how to create a receptions system for newly arrived immigrants. These organizations were new to the idea of working in teams to create innovation solutions to proposed problems.  They were new to the idea of approach innovation and organizational change.

I quickly learned that the organization representatives lacked certain skills. But, I was not yet sure what those skills were. My role as researcher was to observe, conducts interviews and ask questions. I followed these organizational change projects over a period of 3 years.  In the end, I was able to articulate the process of how these organizations were seeking to see change happen.

I noticed a big change occur when an external consultant was brought in for one day to work with members of the steering board.

Initially there was a reluctant attitude that transformed into common visions and common goals through out the day.  Immediately I knew this consultant had skills I did not yet have.  I was intrigued and curious.  I knew I wanted to learn more about these skills she had.  So, I began my coaching education.  I still remember the “AHA” moment a new consciousness was created.  The way to get organizations to thrive is by targeting resources and offering the employees opportunities for personal development.

I wish more organizations understood what is needed in order to create change. Today I teach in Leadership and Organizations and know I learned a lot about these processes over the years.  There are many project leaders and other change agents that lack the necessary theoretical information but also the most important thing that I’ve learned during these years was that people seems to learn at the moment when they have had their own experience. This has been a mission for me during my years of teaching at the University, how I can create these experiences for the students.

I’ve decided to begin sharing with you what is needed in order to create organizational change.  Over the next several blog posts, we will explore that more.  If this sparks your interest, make sure you sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss this information.

Reinventing: A Process of Complete Transformation

June 11, 2012 in All, Change, Personal Growth, Personal Transformation

Have you ever had that feeling that you have started something new? Something that seems to be a whole different life compared to what you used to do? You know in your heart and that it is your yearning to further embrace this new something; this whole new identity of who you are and what you represent. This process is called reinventing. It’s when we transform ourselves fully into something new.  Something that old friends and colleagues may not even recognize.

The Process of Reinventing

Since I’ve started with coaching, I’ve been meeting a lot of people that have been through the process of reinventing and I have followed friends that are going through the process. For me, reinventing means to dramatically change your whole life, your values and attitudes. I’ve been feeling it and know I am in the reinvention process myself. It’s just a matter of time.

People I have known for some time note that I look physically different than I did years ago.  That I look fresh, free, and more aware of myself.  This outward transformation is a reflection of my inward changes.  I am constantly in the process of reinventing myself.

I think this is an important part of reaching for your goals – to always be exploring who you are today, and who you want to be tomorrow.  Who are you?  Who do you want to be?  Are you standing in the way of reaching for your own goals?

How long you can embrace the old, the comfort zone? You must let go in order to be able to create something new.

What is it you want to create? What is it you are holding on to? What is it you need to leave behind in order to continue your reinventing process?

What’s Your 21 Days Challenge?

May 31, 2012 in All, Change, Personal Growth, Personal Transformation

Did you know that it takes 21 days to change a behavior? In order to create new habits in your life, you need to do this new behavior for 21 days. It seems like I, during this past week, have been bumping into people that all had decided their 21 days challenge goals. A few of them had been to a Tony Robbins event in London. When going to events where opportunities for transformation happen, it becomes natural to create new life goals for yourself.

I was volunteering one day in the Swedish version of a motivational speech in the Lange Show. Per Lange is currently the most sought after Swedish speaker on sales. It was a true inspiration to hear his life story where he shared his personal experiences and how challenges can serve as a motivational trigger.  Successful people don’t give up, they try to find new perspectives, new solutions. What again was confirmed in my life and what I take away from the day is that – Everything is Possible!

Today after spending a day with my friend Maria Shanti who told me that she signed up for a Vipassana retreat, I once again felt inspired. Vipassana for me represents structure and order, that can be experienced as a physical torture. And, of course, we all like comfort.  But then I was thinking, why not? Maybe this is exactly what I need? To spend 10 days of silence and just going inside in the new meeting of my inner self. What a gift, I thought. So now I’ve decided that if I’m not able to make it to United States this summer, then at least I’m going to be on a Vipassana retreat.

My 21 Days Challenge

It’s such a turn on and excitement to make decisions, right? And moreover, it is further articulated here; I’m going to start the preparation already now today – 21 days challenge of no wheat, white rice, sugar , coffe or alcohol.  Here I’m coming. We start June 1st and end on the 21st.

What is your 21 days challenge?
